Tour Itinerary

06:00 – Departure from Ankara

You will start your journey at the Ankara Intercity Bus Terminal (AŞTİ). You will take a modern, air-conditioned bus to Cappadocia. The drive takes approximately 4 hours, offering views of the vast Salt Lake (Tuz Gölü) area and the Anatolian plains along the way.

Important: Hotel pick-up in Ankara is not included. You must be at the bus terminal at least 30 minutes before departure. Bus times may vary slightly by season.

10:00 – Arrival in Cappadocia

Upon arrival at the Cappadocia Bus Station, you will have about 30 minutes of free time. You can stretch your legs, use the facilities, or grab a quick coffee/tea at a nearby cafe while waiting for the tour guide.

10:30 – Tour Starts: The Land of Fairy Chimneys

Our professional guide meets you at the terminal, and the adventure begins!

  1. Devrent Valley (Imagination Valley) – We start with a visit to a geological wonderland. The pink rocks here have been eroded by wind and water into shapes that look like animals. Can you spot the seal, the dolphin, and the famous camel rock?
  2. Pasabag (Monks Valley) – This is the best place to see the multi-headed fairy chimneys. In the past, hermit monks carved their cells into these giant mushroom-shaped pillars to live in isolation. You can walk amongst these giants and feel the history.
  3. Avanos Pottery Workshop – We drive to the town of Avanos, divided by the Red River (Kızılırmak). Here, we visit a traditional workshop to watch a master potter turn local red clay into beautiful art on a kick-wheel, a tradition lasting 4,000 years.
  4. Lunch Break – We take a pause to enjoy a freshly prepared lunch at a local restaurant, featuring regional Turkish dishes.
  5. Cavusin Village – We visit this charming old village, famous for its massive rock cliff honeycombed with abandoned cave houses. It was once a thriving Greek settlement, and you can still see the ruins of the Church of St. John the Baptist.
  6. Goreme Panoramic View – We stop at a viewpoint that offers the most spectacular vista of Goreme town. It is the perfect spot to capture the essence of the region in a single photo.
  7. Zelve Open Air Museum – The highlight of the day. Zelve is an expansive valley that was an active village until the 1950s. You will explore three valleys filled with cave homes, tunnels, mills, and churches. It is a peaceful and authentic journey into the past.
  8. Uchisar Castle (Photo Stop) – Our final stop is at the foot of the highest rock fortress in Cappadocia. The castle dominates the skyline and offers a majestic background for your farewell photos.

17:00 – Transfer to Bus Station

After a full day of sightseeing, we transfer you back to the Cappadocia Bus Station.

18:00 – Return to Ankara

You board the evening bus back to the capital. Relax and reflect on your day as you drive back across the steppe.

22:30 – Arrival in Ankara

You arrive back at Ankara AŞTİ Bus Terminal. Our services end here.
