~09:45 – Hotel pick-up from Cappadocia – We pick you up from your hotel in central Cappadocia (Göreme, Ürgüp, Uçhisar, Avanos, Çavuşin or nearby areas) around 09:45. Pick-up time may change slightly by season and will be confirmed one day before your Cappadocia Red Tour.

Drive to North Cappadocia – After meeting your English-speaking guide, you travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle towards the main valleys of North Cappadocia. On the way, your guide gives a short introduction to the region, its volcanic landscape and the famous fairy chimneys.

Visiting Sights on Cappadocia Red Tour

• Devrent Valley (Pink Valley) – Also known as “Imagination Valley”, this area is full of strange rock shapes that look like animals and objects. As you walk along the path, your guide will help you spot rock formations that look like a camel, a seal and many other figures. It is a fun and very photogenic part of your Cappadocia tour.
• Pasabag Open Air Museum (Monks Valley) – Pasabag is famous for its tall, multi-headed fairy chimneys with thick “hats” of rock. Here you can see how monks once lived in rock-cut cells inside the chimneys. It is one of the best places in Cappadocia to understand how nature and human history meet in the landscape.
• Avanos Pottery Workshop – Avanos is a town on the banks of the Red River (Kızılırmak) and has been known for its pottery since ancient times. You visit a traditional Avanos pottery workshop, learn how the local clay is used and watch a live demonstration on the wheel. You will also have a chance to try making your own pot if you like.
• Göreme Panoramic View – This viewpoint offers a wide, open view over Göreme village, fairy chimneys and nearby valleys. It is a great place to see the typical Cappadocia landscape in one frame and to take classic photos with rock formations, cave houses and sometimes even hot air balloons in the sky in the early hours.
• Zelve Open Air Museum – Once a busy cave village and religious center, Zelve is now an open-air museum where you can walk between rock-carved houses, small churches and tunnels. Your guide will explain how people lived here until the mid-20th century and why they had to leave the area. It is one of the most atmospheric sites on the Cappadocia Red Tour.
• Uçhisar Castle (exterior view) – Uçhisar is the highest point in Cappadocia, and the castle is a natural rock tower filled with carved rooms. On this tour, you enjoy an exterior view and photo stop near the castle rather than going inside. From this point, you can see a beautiful panorama of the valleys and nearby villages.

Lunch at a local restaurant – Around midday, you enjoy a tasty lunch at a local restaurant, with a set menu that usually includes soup, main course and salad. Lunch is included in the tour price; drinks are extra and can be added on the spot if you wish.

Easy walking and photo breaks – Throughout the day, there will be easy walks and plenty of photo stops in the valleys and museums. The walking parts are moderate and suitable for most travelers, but comfortable shoes are recommended as the ground can be uneven in some areas.

Guided commentary and free time – At each stop, your guide will share stories about the history of Cappadocia, daily life in the cave villages and how the unusual rock shapes were formed. There will also be free time for you to explore on your own, take photos and enjoy the views at your own pace.

~17:00 – Return to your hotel – At the end of this full-day North Cappadocia sightseeing tour, we drop you back at your hotel around 17:00. The exact finish time can change slightly depending on traffic and group pace, but you will return with a clear picture of Cappadocia’s most famous areas.
