04:00 am – Hotel Pick-up
Our travel team picks you up from your hotel in Istanbul (European side city center) and transfers you to the airport.

07:00 am – Flight to Cappadocia
Board your flight for a short journey to Central Anatolia. Enjoy the aerial views as you travel from the Marmara region to the heart of Turkey.
08:30 am – Arrival & Tour Start
Upon landing at Cappadocia Airport (ASR or NAV), our local team welcomes you with a name sign. You will meet your professional guide and begin the Highlights Tour.
- Devrent Valley (Imagination Valley): We start at a place where nature is the sculptor. The pink rocks here resemble animals and human figures. It is a true wonderland that sparks the imagination—try to spot the famous camel rock!
- Pasabag (Monks Valley): Next, we discover the mystical fairy chimneys with double and triple caps. This valley was once home to Christian hermits who carved their cells into the stone to live a secluded spiritual lifestyle.
- Zelve Open Air Museum: A major highlight. This historical site features three valleys full of cave homes, churches, and tunnels inhabited by monks and villagers until the 1950s. It offers a deep dive into the unique way of life in ancient Cappadocia.
- Avanos & Red River: We drive to the town of Avanos, situated by Turkey’s longest river, the Kızılırmak (Red River). The red clay from the riverbed is the source of the region’s famous pottery.
- Avanos Pottery Workshop: We visit a traditional studio to witness masters at work using age-old techniques. You can even try your hand at the potter’s wheel to feel the clay yourself.

Important Remarks
- Hot air balloons fly ONLY at sunrise (early morning). Since this tour arrives in the morning after the balloons have landed, you will not be able to see them flying. If you wish to watch or fly in balloons, you must stay at least 1 night in Cappadocia.

The guide's explanation of how the fairy chimneys were formed by volcanic eruptions and erosion made us appreciate the landscape on a whole new level.
I was mesmerized by the history of the early Christians hiding in these valleys, and seeing the churches they carved out of the soft volcanic rock with my own eyes was a deeply moving experience.
