Tour Itinerary
Hotel Pick-up
We pick you up from your hotel in Cappadocia (Goreme, Uchisar, Urgup, etc.) approximately 30-45 minutes before the ride starts.
Timing Note: You can book this tour for any time of the day. However, the most popular times are Late Afternoon, and Sunset. Please let us know your preference when booking.
For an additional fee, you can join the Sunrise Horseback Riding Tour and experience the magical landscapes of Cappadocia at dawn. This unique activity offers breathtaking views of fairy chimneys and valleys as the sun rises, creating an unforgettable start to your day.
Arrival & Safety Briefing
We transfer you to our horse ranch located near the valleys. Here, you will meet your professional instructor.
Training: Before we start, you will receive a brief but effective training session. We explain how to steer, stop, and communicate with the horse. We also provide you with a riding helmet (mandatory for safety).
The Ride Begins (Red & Rose Valleys)
Once everyone is ready, we mount our horses and start the 2-hour safari. We ride at a slow to moderate pace (walking or trotting), following the guide.
- Swords Valley: We usually start near the Swords Valley, famous for its thin, sharp rock formations. It is a dramatic landscape perfect for photos.
- Rose Valley (Gulludere): We ride through the pink-hued rocks of Rose Valley. You will see hidden orchards, vineyards, and rock-cut churches along the path.
- Red Valley (Kizilcukur): This is the highlight of the tour. The red tuff rocks create a Martian-like landscape. If you chose the Sunset option, we stop at a panoramic point here to watch the sun go down over the fairy chimneys.
Extended Options (On Request)
The standard tour is 2 hours. However, if you are an experienced rider or want a longer adventure, we can organize 4-hour expeditions. Please contact us directly for these special long-ride arrangements.
Return to Ranch & Hotel Drop-off
After the ride, we return to the ranch, say goodbye to our horses, and transfer you back to your hotel.

Important Remarks
- No prior riding experience is required; horses are trained and docile.
- Helmets are mandatory and provided by us.
- Recommended clothing: Long trousers/jeans and comfortable closed shoes (no flip-flops).
- Pregnant women are not allowed to participate for safety reasons.
- Age limit: Children under a certain age (usually 6-8) may not be allowed to ride their own horse; please check with us.
- Standard tour is 2 hours. 1-hour, 4-hour, and full-day options are available on request.

I have done ATV and Camel tours too, but the horse tour is the most authentic feel for Cappadocia. It is quiet and natural. The horses are calm. The sunset was the perfect ending to our trip.
