Private Cappadocia Hot Air Balloon Flight

Early morning hotel pick-up – Before sunrise, our driver picks you up from your hotel in Göreme, Uçhisar, Ürgüp, Avanos, Çavuşin or nearby towns. Pick-up time depends on the season and sunrise and will be confirmed one day before your private balloon flight.

Private transfer to the launch site – You travel by comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle to the take-off area. On the way, you may see other Cappadocia hot air balloons being prepared in the dark, which already creates a magical feeling.

Check-in and light breakfast – At the office or launch area, you meet the ground team and enjoy a simple breakfast with tea, coffee and small snacks. While you eat, you can watch your own private hot air balloon being inflated just for your group.

Safety briefing with your pilot – Your licensed pilot explains how to get in and out of the basket, how to stand during take-off and landing and what to expect during the flight. All flights follow Civil Aviation rules, and your hot air balloon is fully insured and checked regularly.

Private take-off and climb into the sky – You step into your private balloon basket. There are different basket types that can be arranged depending on your group size and chosen date. The pilot gently lifts the balloon from the ground, and soon you are floating over the valleys while the sun starts to rise.

Around 60 minutes of private flight time – Your private Cappadocia hot air balloon ride usually lasts about one hour in the air (weather and wind permitting). During the flight you will:

• Glide over fairy chimneys, rock formations and valleys at different heights for unique photos.
• Enjoy clear, wide views over Göreme, Uçhisar and the surrounding landscape as the sun lights up Cappadocia.
• Use the extra space in the private basket to move a little, change sides and capture your best angles.
• Create special moments such as marriage proposals, birthday surprises or simple quiet time together above the valleys.

Special touches on request – For romantic events or celebrations, we can help with extra details such as a “Will you marry me?” banner, a simple cake or a small flower arrangement, depending on availability and extra cost. Please mention your wishes in your request so we can plan them in advance.

Landing and celebration – After your private flight, the pilot finds a safe landing area and brings the balloon down gently, where the crew is waiting. Once you land, you step out of the basket and enjoy a small celebration with a non-alcoholic drink to mark your private Cappadocia balloon experience.

Flight certificate – At the end of the celebration, you receive a simple flight certificate with your names and the date of your flight, a special souvenir from your time in the sky.

Return transfer to your hotel – We then drive you back to your hotel in Cappadocia. You usually return in time for breakfast and can continue your day with a city tour, free time or another activity.

Important notes – All Cappadocia balloon flights, including private ones, are weather dependent. The Civil Aviation Authority makes the final decision to fly or cancel on the morning of the tour. If your private flight is canceled due to weather, you will get a full refund.
