Meal - Breakfast and lunch

09:45 hotel pickup - Your driver picks you up from your Cappadocia hotel or the confirmed meeting point and transfers you to the tour starting area. The guide welcomes the group, explains the route order and keeps the day coordinated between the valley stops, museums and lunch break. Exact pickup time may change by hotel location, route order and season.

Cappadocia Red Tour Route - This north Cappadocia route focuses on fairy chimneys, cave settlements, pottery culture and wide viewpoints. It is designed as a balanced day with open-air scenery, short walks and guided context at each stop.

  1. Devrent Valley: This open valley introduces Cappadocia's soft volcanic tuff and naturally carved rock shapes before the museum stops begin. Your guide explains how wind and water erosion created the animal-like formations, so the landscape feels easier to understand instead of just photograph.
  2. Pasabag: Pasabag is famous for multi-capped fairy chimneys standing very close to the walking paths. The stop gives you a close look at carved hermit rooms and chapel spaces, making the scale of Cappadocia's rock architecture much more tangible.
  3. Avanos Pottery Workshop: Avanos sits beside the Kizilirmak River, where red clay has supported local pottery for centuries. During the workshop visit, you see how a master shapes the clay on a traditional wheel and learn why this craft remains part of daily Cappadocian culture.
  4. Goreme Panoramic View: This viewpoint gives a wide look over Goreme and the surrounding valley system. It is a useful orientation stop because you can connect the rock formations, villages and castle viewpoints before continuing deeper into the route.
  5. Zelve Open Air Museum: Zelve is a former cave settlement spread across open valleys rather than a single compact museum building. Walking through its carved homes, chapels, storage rooms and passages helps you see how people lived inside the volcanic rock for generations.
  6. Uchisar Castle Panorama: Uchisar Castle is the highest natural rock landmark in central Cappadocia and is viewed from the exterior panorama point on this route. The stop gives strong photo angles and helps you understand how the castle connected the surrounding valleys visually.

Transfer back to your hotel - When the guided visits finish, the vehicle returns you to your hotel so you can rest before the next part of the package. Luggage and timing are handled according to the daily route plan.

Overnight - Stay overnight in Cappadocia. The evening is kept free so you can rest after the day and be ready for the next scheduled service.

Day 3 ─

Cappadocia Yellow Tour

Meal - Breakfast and lunch

09:45 hotel pickup - Your driver picks you up from your Cappadocia hotel or the confirmed meeting point and transfers you to the tour starting area. The guide welcomes the group, explains the route order and keeps the day coordinated between the valley stops, museums and lunch break. Exact pickup time may change by hotel location, route order and season.

Cappadocia Yellow Tour Route - This south Cappadocia route combines colorful valleys, an old cave village, pigeon houses and an underground city. It is slightly more landscape-focused than the Red Tour and gives a deeper look at how people used the valleys for shelter, farming and daily life.

  1. Red Valley: Red Valley is known for warm red and orange volcanic layers that change color with the sun. The walking sections are manageable for most travelers and give close views of cave rooms, natural ridges and the valley walls.
  2. Rose Valley: Rose Valley has softer pink tones and a quieter atmosphere than the main panorama stops. Your guide points out cave chapels, old living spaces and rock-cut details that are easy to miss without local explanation.
  3. Cavusin Village: Cavusin is an old rock village where abandoned cave homes stand beside newer stone houses. The stop shows the transition from cave living to modern village life, and the cliff face makes that history visible at a glance.
  4. Pigeon Valley: Pigeon Valley takes its name from the many pigeon houses carved into the cliffs. The viewpoint also frames Uchisar Castle in the distance, making it one of the most useful stops for understanding the valley network.
  5. Underground City: The underground city reveals how local communities created storage rooms, tunnels, ventilation shafts and stone doors below the surface. Your guide explains how these spaces worked as practical shelters rather than simple caves.

Day 4 ─

Cappadocia Green Tour and Return Flight

Meal - Breakfast and lunch

09:00 hotel pickup - Your driver picks you up from your Cappadocia hotel or the confirmed meeting point and transfers you to the tour starting area. The guide welcomes the group, explains the route order and keeps the day coordinated between the valley stops, museums and lunch break. Exact pickup time may change by hotel location, route order and season.

Cappadocia Green Tour Route - This longer south Cappadocia route connects panoramic viewpoints, a major underground city and the Ihlara Valley canyon. It is ideal if you want fewer museum-style stops and more countryside, walking and layered history in one day.

  1. Esentepe Panorama: Esentepe gives a broad first look over Goreme, Uchisar and the surrounding valleys. The stop helps you place the region geographically before the route continues toward deeper southern Cappadocia.
  2. Kaymakli or Derinkuyu Underground City: The exact underground city may vary by route operation, but both Kaymakli and Derinkuyu show multi-level shelter systems below the surface. You walk through tunnels, kitchens, storage rooms and ventilation shafts while the guide explains how communities survived there during periods of danger.
  3. Ihlara Valley: Ihlara Valley is a green canyon carved by the Melendiz River, very different from the open plateaus near Goreme. The walk follows a manageable path where rock churches, river views and shaded sections make the landscape feel calmer and more natural.
  4. Belisirma Village: Belisirma Village is used as a slower lunch stop inside or near the valley route. It gives the day a practical break after walking and lets you experience a quieter rural side of Cappadocia.
  5. Yaprakhisar Panorama: Yaprakhisar Panorama opens toward dramatic volcanic cliffs and village scenery at the edge of the valley system. The viewpoint is a useful final landscape stop before the drive back to central Cappadocia.

Transfer to the airport after the tour - After the final sightseeing stop, your driver transfers you to Kayseri or Nevsehir Airport. The transfer is timed around your confirmed flight, so you do not need to arrange separate transportation after the guided program.

Flight from Cappadocia to Istanbul - After check-in, you take the domestic flight to Istanbul. Flight time, airline and departure or arrival airport may change according to season, seat availability and operational conditions.

Arrival in Istanbul and hotel transfer - Upon landing at Istanbul Airport (IST) or Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW), our Istanbul airport team meets you with your name sign and transfers you to your Istanbul hotel. Tour services end after hotel drop-off.

The free first afternoon let the kids nap off the flight before we threw ourselves into the tours. Sensible for families, and the chimneys won everyone over.

The gentle way to see all of Cappadocia from Istanbul. Over four days we had a free arrival afternoon to settle into the cave hotel, then the Red Tour through the chimneys and churches, the Yellow Tour hiking the valleys, and the Green Tour south to the Ihlara Valley and an underground city. Spreading the three tours over four days rather than three made the whole trip feel unhurried, and the guides were knowledgeable and warm. The extra day is well worth it for the relaxed pace and the chance to actually enjoy each tour.
